How to Make a Guestbook 

Guestbooks are really easy to make! Someone asked so I thought I might as well write this for my Tips'n'Tricks section.

 1. Add a new blog entry and title it "Guestbook" or whatever you want to call your Guestbook.

 2. Write a short entry in it, asking people to sign/make a comment on it.

 3. Publish the entry and preview your space.

 4. Below the blog entry you just published, you should see a series of text links. Click the one that says "Permalink", and highlight and copy the link that appears underneath.

 5. Now to go back to edit mode, and create a list. Name the list "Guestbook" and add an item. Title the item something like "Sign my Guestbook!" and in the URL box, paste the Permalink you copied in step 4.

 6. Now click Add, and voila!

Note: Your guestbook entry will show on your blog until you add several more blogs after, but you will still have a link to it!

• Step 1-do this
• Step 2-do that
• Step 3-do this and that
• Step 4-You're finished and it should be working!

When i say eg. it means example! so please do not cut and paste the stuff I just typed lol.. There can be more steps than 4 by the way.

Beaches these days are getting so over populated. This is causing erosion and all sorts of problems. Lots of people ask, Why do we try and save the beaches? well the answer is that the beaches are a main tourist destination and it also protects the inner land from flooding.. We don't want crappy beaches with seringes sticking out everywhere do we now.. We just want the beach too stay as a relaxing place. But the tourists do over crowd the areas making major problems for the marine life and also the beach protection plan..

So lets look after our beaches and keep them as a great Aussie Icon

We love them, and we love calling them thongs. They aren’t sandals, they’re not slippers, and they sure aren’t g-strings; but the thong just might be the most comfortable footwear you can imagine wearing through a balmy Aussie summer.

Long gone are the days when the only thong you’ll see is a basic black and white rubber number bought from Woollies for three bucks. Check out the streets of New York and the runways of Paris to see that the humble thong has grown wings and is now a hot fashion item.

Satin, sequins, beads and buckles are just some of the funky embellishments on the modern thong. Some pretty enough to wear with a dressy frock in the evening and still go with a sarong and bikini during the day.

I can hear the blokes saying, ‘what the?’ But before believing that men’s thongs are still in the dark ages, take a look in the surf stores and at designer labels like Armani, here you will see that the male thong is now an out-an-out fashion statement.

While glamorous and designer thongs are making their mark on fashion, the humble rubber thong is still the staple in Australia. The typical example is the must-have ‘Havainas’ thong from Brazil. Just a simple, sturdy rubber thong, Havainas come in a full range of colours and are available in all good surf wear shops.

And just when you thought that thongs were only good for protecting your feet (do they?), along comes the good old Aussie Thong Throwing Competition! Yes, on the national Australia Day holiday (and usually with a beer in the other hand) many a hopeful thong-wearer will strut their stuff in the hope of beating their fellow thong-throwers to the mark, with much cheering and lost thongs by the end of the day.

For Aussies that do lose a thong, well can there be anything worse? A favourite pair of thongs is like your best friend – always there for you (because no-one else would want to wear them). And when the terrible day comes that one breaks… well let’s just say that the three bucks to replace them just doesn’t do them justice. Many a dogged repair job has been performed to get that extra bit more out of a four-year-old pair of thongs.

And for those who think Aussies are bananas for loving their thongs, we weren’t the first to fall in love with them. Egyptians wore similar strapped flatties around the temples for centuries and the Japanese have been wearing them for absolutely ever (hence the Aussie nickname for thongs – ‘Japanese safety boots’).

All in all, for young and old, girls or boys, gearing up for a summer day in Australia just wouldn’t be complete without your favourite pair of thongs.
